The quality of a serum is determined by the rigor of the main stages of collection, preparation and storage.
Serum collection is aseptic; after being collected, the coagulated blood is centrifuged and then pooled and frozen. Samples are then taken in order to check the compliance of the batch with the required requirements (endotoxin level assay, control of virus contamination, pH measurement and osmolarity). The serum is then filtered on a series of filters, the last of which has a porosity of 0.2 µm. The serum is finally packaged in PETG bottles.
All of these steps are performed under aseptic conditions, in a laminar flow hood and in a Class 100 White room. To ensure consistent quality of our products, a series of physical, chemical, microbiological and viral controls are performed on all the sera.
A certificate of quality can be provided on request.
Specificities
:
• FBS from a selection of the best batches, very stable in quality, reproducible, with a low endotoxin rate
• To compensate for the differences between serum batches, PAN-Biotech has developed a unique process that does not affect the biological nature of FBS: the unique components naturally present in the serum are enriched in a superior quality leading to a more defined product
• Advantages:
• time-consuming batch testing is no longer necessary
• the difference between batches is about +/- 10%
• in stock
• viruses and mycoplasma tested
